Mind Through Silence embodies this idea, which has its origins in a Buddhist anecdote involving Buddha and his disciple. The anecdote, promoting the teaching that the "minds speak through silence," offered the inspiration for the dance piece.
We live in a world of symbolism, pregnant with infinite rules and laws to which we comply almost without questioning or awareness. In this dance, we try to reveal the "authentic inner me" and not the "inner-me within pre-fabricated structures of symbols."
